About Rising Eagle Stud
Rising Eagle Stud is located in the heart of Thoroughbred country just two hours North West of Sydney in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
We specialise in broodmare agistment, foaling down and foal handling.
In 2021, following many years of hard work, Narelle established her boutique Quarter Horse stud. The stud has rapidly expanded to meet demand for Thoroughbred broodmare agistment and foaling down services.
Narelle is a qualified Veterinary Nurse with extensive experience in animal welfare and each horse that stays at Rising Eagle Stud becomes part of the family and receives personalised care.
From breeding, to foaling, right through to the weaning process, our goal is to provide the best possible environment for caring for your stock. Whether seasonal or full-time boarders, we provide regular reports to keep you updated on the progress of your stock.
Services
Foaling Down Services
All pregnant mares are kept in close proximity to the purpose-built foaling facility and are monitored 24/7.
Foaling paddocks are equipped with video surveillance and lighting. Foaling alarms are also utilised.
Jerrys Plains Veterinary Hospital is only minutes away should an emergency arise.
Mare and foal stables are also available should they be required post-foaling.
Weaning & Foal Handling
All foals receive stress-free handling from birth that will set them up for a successful future.
We take your foal through their early education process in a calm and progressive manner, and they are thought to lead and load on a float from an early age.
Agistment
Rising Eagle Stud offers long-term or seasonal agistment for broodmares.
As part of our equine management plan all mares are required to be up to-date with their vaccinations.
Each mare is fed a balanced diet according to their specific needs.
A qualified and experienced farrier regularly attends the stud to maintain hoof health.
All dry mares are rugged during the cooler months and Equilume masks are also used to aid in a successful early cover.
Walk-On
Rising Eagle Stud is located in the heart of horse country close to some of the largest Thoroughbred studs in Australia. Due to our unique location, we can offer walk-on services for all agisted mares.
Rising Eagle Stud has all the necessary vetting facilities for the preparation of your mare for the upcoming breeding season.
Our stud veterinarian specialises in Equine Reproductive Medicine.
